Reclaim Health. From Home.

Canary turns daily monitoring into early intervention for those with limited mobility.

The Unspoken Assumption

Healthcare was built on the assumption that everyone can stand.

X-rays machines, weight scales, body scanners, even the design of many exam rooms all silently assume one thing: that the patient can get up, walk in, and step on.

But what happens when they can’t?

For over 12.2 million wheelchair users, including 250,000 veterans, this assumption has led to a healthcare system that unintentionally excludes them as care has shifted more to telehealth services. Critical health data like weight, posture, and hydration is rarely captured, and home health care is often reactive rather than proactive.

Canary challenges this assumption.

We believe standing shouldn't be a prerequisite for care. Our technology brings essential monitoring to where patients are — seated, at home, and often overlooked. And by doing so, we unlock a new era of accessible, preventative healthcare.

About our journey

Our story began with a simple question:
Why is it so hard for someone in a wheelchair to track their health at home?

For our founder, that question was personal, inspired by the lived experiences of family members and veterans navigating a healthcare system not built for them. There weren’t feedback loops between patients and providers unless something went wrong.
